Noah Okafor has joked about his unintentional assist for Christian Pulisic, with the USMNT star hitting a new personal best goal tally at AC Milan.

Pulisic was back on target for the Rossoneri in their 3-1 victory over Verona. The United States international hit the net shortly after half-time in that contest and now has 12 efforts to his name in all competitions – a total he has never previously posted across a single campaign.

Pulisic was in the right place at the right time to bundle home against Verona, with it virtually impossible for him to miss after seeing the ball palmed into his path six yards out. He has now found the target in four successive outings for Milan.

Club colleague Okafor is looking to claim some of the credit for that run, with it his shot that was parried into Pulisic’s path. He could have looked to cross before taking aim himself, but has posted on social media saying “I saw u” after eventually working the ball into Pulisic’s burst from midfield.
